with special Guests
The Old Museum is delighted to announce that we have been able to reschedule the concert of award-winning Melbourne-raised, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, Ben Abrahams.
The Old Museum had some technical issues which resulted in Ben's show, originally scheduled for 20 December to not go ahead..
You can now catch the acclaimed artist – whose heart-on-sleeve storytelling has earned him praise from The New York Times and collaborations with the likes of Sara Bareilles, Kesha, Gotye and Demi Lovato – when he lights up The Old Museum on Friday 9 January 2026 at 8pm.
Joined by a few surprise guests (previous years have featured appearances from Vance Joy, Gotye and more), Ben’s (postponed) Christmas Special is split into two sets: the first showcasing the singer’s own original music – from fan favourites such as ‘Never Been Better’ and ‘If I Didn’t Love You’, to songs from his 2022 album, Friendly Fire – and the second half a delightfully unpredictable indie spectacular.
A gifted storyteller with a cinematic touch, Ben first captured hearts with his self-released debut album Sirens – later reissued by indie label Secretly Canadian and hailed by The New York Times as “a debut of remarkable depth.” This set Ben on a path that would see him co-write the GRAMMY-nominated hit ‘Praying’ for Kesha and craft songs for artists such as Demi Lovato and The Chicks.
