Queensland Law Orchestra (‘Lawchestra’) is proud to present its seventh annual finale concert at the Old Museum Building’s Concert Hall under conductor Greta Hunter.
Become immersed in the bassoon’s rich textures as our soloist performs Weber’s Bassoon Concerto in F Major (Mvt II). All aboard the festive train as we perform, in the spirit of Christmas, Ballard & Silvestri’s Concert Suite from The Polar Express Express, movements from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Coleridge-Taylor’s Christmas Overture from The Forest of Wild Thyme.
Celebrate the Viennese tradition of the Strauss family’s On the Beautiful Blue Danube and Radetzky March, and experience the warmth of Butterworth’s The Banks of Green Willow, Elgar’s Salut D’Amourand much more.
This year, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Minds Count Foundation, an independent, volunteer-run charitable organisation. The Foundation aims to decrease work-related psychological ill-health in the legal community and promote workplace psychological health and safety.
